Money Date

Mar's Musings on Money Date

I want to dive into the concept of the “Money Date” and explore the significance of having a monthly money date.

Before I dive in, I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who replied to me about women collaborating. I got incredible stories, beautiful accounts of women coming together, supporting each other, and holding each other accountable to also move forward in what you're doing and creating businesses together. So this is incredible. I just love seeing more women together and supporting each other.

On that note, I want to look at the “Money Date” because that's something Marika and I created together, which has been a monthly date in your calendar to look at you, yourself, and Money. Really, the idea of this has been to have the accountability, to stick to your money goals, to work on the things that you're looking at monthly, to ask any questions, and most importantly, to also update your net worth calculator, your investments, to really know where you're at with your money.

We keep women accountable. We look at financial successes. We look at things that you wanted to achieve, such as opening up investment accounts or repurposing, closing bank accounts, all sorts of things, everything around money. And sometimes we just keep putting it off month over month. So the idea of having this money date is to really anchor it into your life and make you accountable to that.

Join the July Money Date

Normally we hold it on a Monday, but next month, in July, the last one for the summer, we'll be having it on Tuesday, the 9th of July at 5:00 p.m. Lisbon, Portugal time, for an hour to ask questions about money, really diving in if there's anything you want to look at, starting this process.

And the idea is that we really anchor this for you to make those changes in your life, to make sure that they are happening.

We love doing the money date ourselves, and we want to inspire many more women to take themselves on the money date. I even have clients, for example, male clients who said they've taken their wives out on money dates. You can do that in a hotel. He does that to look at finances. So the harder topics to speak about that you don't necessarily want to do at home, but you can do in spaces where you are, for example, outside of your environment. And you can also attract money by being in great places where you feel like, okay, let's set our goals.

We're trying to inspire it online for you to get the habit to then take it into your life. So we hope that you can join us on that.

On another note, I'm very excited that I'll be launching something in September back for women back into the group coaching environment and I’d love to hear your thoughts, by filling out this questionnaire. Your feedback is invaluable.

I have done this successful group over the last few years, and I want to invite more women into that space to support you, to put your gifts into the world.

So what I would love from you, is getting your feedback, your questions, so that I can create something that really speaks to you. All around money, all around passions. But firstly, come and join us on the money date.

We're in full swing of summer here. I hope that you are enjoying this time of the year, wherever you are. Thank you for being part of my world. Please send me any questions, any feedback. I keep learning from you, and I would love to hear more about your journey and processes around money.

With Love,

Mar
