Money around the world

Mar's Musings on Money around the world

Greetings from Asia! I'm currently in Manila, embarking on a journey that holds significance on multiple levels.

Firstly, I'm excited to share that I'm involved in a new project that's gaining momentum—a female-led endeavour with remarkable women at its core. It's a roadshow of sorts, gathering insights and feedback from around the world, a process I often encourage the women I work with to embrace. Presenting your work and receiving feedback can be incredibly enlightening and empowering.

Secondly, this trip marks my return to Asia since the birth of my son over four years ago. Being back here evokes a wave of nostalgia and warmth, reminiscent of my childhood and the vibrant energy of this region. From the people to the culture to the cuisine, every aspect fills me with a sense of belonging and fond childhood memories.

Reflecting on the varied attitudes towards money across different cultures, I'm struck by the stark contrasts. In Europe, there's often a sense of discretion surrounding wealth, while in Asia, it's celebrated with flamboyance. In Brazil, transactions are often conducted in installments, highlighting the diverse approaches to affordability. And in the hustle and bustle of cities like New York, money takes center stage in conversations and pursuits.

These cultural nuances offer valuable insights into our own relationship with money. It's not about adhering to a universal standard of success, but rather defining what success means to us individually.

~ How important is money to you?

~ How do you choose to allocate your resources?

These are questions worth pondering, as they reflect our core values and priorities.

As I immerse myself in the richness of Asian culture once again, I invite you to explore your own money journey and the cultural influences shaping it.

~ What triggers arise for you?

~ What values guide your financial decisions?

By examining these dynamics, we can gain clarity and alignment with our true desires.

I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences, so please feel free to share.

Let's continue this journey together, embracing the lessons and insights that come our way.

Sending love and warm wishes from Asia,

Mar
