Welcome to Mar's Musings for this week! I'm thrilled to be fully back into the swing of things in 2024 after a year-end filled with the flu and a deep cleaning out - we're now on the road to recovery and finding our rhythm for the new year.
If you joined me in the Rauhnächte rituals, you probably felt and might have been in tune with the wilderness of these nights that ended this weekend.
January, for me, has always been a quieter, more introspective time, akin to the winter season — a period of yin energy. It's not an instant burst into the new year; it's a slow and steady entry. And that's precisely how I feel this year, slowly finding my groove.
Marika and I have been gradually diving into various aspects of financial freedom. Last week, we explored the importance of looking at your financial budget, understanding the bottom line and getting a grip on the numbers. This Thursday at 12:00 Portuguese Time, we'll be discussing savings versus investing, unravelling the narrative that saving alone is safe, especially for women. Among the upcoming offerings this month is a tea session, providing a sacred space for women to embrace their feminine flow - join me with Mieke for Tea and chanting on 22nd January in Lisbon.
Personally, a significant lesson from recent times has been the importance of decluttering our physical space, allowing room for the new to flow in. The act of cleaning out and embracing minimalism can create space for prosperity and abundance to enter our lives.
So, I invite you, as you embark on this new rhythm, to take a moment to declutter and make space for the fresh energy of the year. This aligns with my encouragement for more women to get their finances in check, a form of decluttering and clearing out, understanding your numbers, and taking control.
In 2024, I aim to share more about money, alignment, finances, clarity, and structure. Despite the uncertainties of the past years, these times of movement allow us to build new foundations, bring in new energy, and generate fresh ideas. I hope this year can be an inspiration for you.
