Community

Mar’s Musing on Community

As humans, we have always found ourselves living in communities, to share tasks, to support each other and for protection. It’s natural for us humans as we are social beings to be in contact with and surrounded by others.

In my own life, I have experienced the importance of community whilst in Singapore I grew up in a place where many houses were together and we could run around freely with my closest friends. At university I lived in a community and whilst travelling, I got to experience many different intentional communities.

I saw when I lived in London in a flat, I felt very isolated and disconnected.

All these experiences shaped me into who I am today, and most importantly showed me how we can grow together by supporting each other and uplifting one another by being together.

This weekend at the Regenerative conference in Parma, we saw exactly this, the need to come back into community spaces to support each other and to cross-pollinate to support the path of a Regenerative future.

The mental health crisis that we are currently facing is very much due to separation, the lack of connections and community spaces!

What I have been working on is a community space for women soul-preneurs online, where we all come together to work on our projects and businesses whilst uplifting each other – moving away from the old paradigm of competition and holding each other up in your gifts and talents, in your uniqueness and to support each other.

I am inviting you to explore where you are living the experience of community in your life and where you might be in need of more community support (?).

So I am calling forth more community spaces for women… Who feels the resonance for this?

Love Mar Michelle xx
